Dot Mandala painting is a meditative process that can have therapeutic benefits. It offers us time to slow down, relax, focus and connect with our inner self.

I love the repetitive act of creating dots, it calms my busy mind and gives me a feeling of inner peace. I always start my workshops with a short mindful meditation to help us come into the present moment and put our thoughts aside for a while so that we can enjoy being in the moment mindfully.

Mandala in Sanskrit means circle.

All mandalas are circles contained within a square and arranged into sections that are all organized around a single, central point often forming concentric circles, geometric shapes, and elaborate patterns. The Circle of Life is at the core of many Dot Mandalas and symbolises unity and wholeness. It represents the cycle of birth, growth, death, and rebirth.

Sacred Geometry features a lot too with triangles, squares, and hexagons conveying balance, symmetry.

Flowers feature a lot, they represent beauty and growth, symbolising renewal, regeneration and transformation.

Some Dot Mandalas are designed to activate and balance the body’s energy centres (chakras), promoting healing and spiritual alignment. Each colour and pattern corresponds to a specific chakra, facilitating the free flow of energy throughout the body.

“Paulette made me the most beautiful Tree of Life painting which has a special place on my altar, where it not only looks amazing and makes me smile every day but also holds powerful energy. I use the Tree of Life’s energy to call in growth, abundance, and all the things I wish to manifest. It’s a perfect addition to my sacred space, and I’m so grateful for it.”
