Recently, I decided I wanted to have a go at stained glass. How hard could it be after all? Well, a bit harder than I originally thought to be honest! But I’ve now cracked it (with a bit of help) and I’m loving it.

The process typically starts with a design or template, then the glass is carefully cut, fitted, and finally soldered together. It reminds me of doing a jigsaw puzzle, but with beautiful bits of coloured glass.

Here’s my latest mandala. I loved the idea of bringing the third eye into the mix and also the symbolism of protection from the triangle. The eye has so many meanings for different cultures it’s quite unbelievable how that works. You can take from it what you will. Whatever meaning it has for you is the right one.
